The site is the property of the Cast Metals Federation (CMF) and reproduction of the content is limited to that of the casting processes descriptions, the publication order forms and the membership application forms.  The copyright of all images on this site is owned by the CMF, in accordance with the terms of the Copyright Designs & Patents Act 1988.  The formal permission of the CMF is required in writing for the reproduction of any other part of this website

every effort is made to ensure that the information provided on this site is accurate and up to date but no legal responsibility is accepted for any errors, omissions or misleading statements. It is the CMF policy to obtain permission to link to other websites, and contextual links are provided to such sites where appropriate to the CMF's business. The CMF is not responsible for, and cannot guarantee the accuracy of any information on websites it does not manage, nor should the existence of a hyperlink be taken to mean endorsement by the CMF of that website.

Under the Data Protection Act 1998 we have a legal duty to protect any information collected from you. We use leading technologies and encryption software to safeguard our data and strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it. We do not pass on any details to any third party unless you have given us formal permission to do so.

What information do we collect from visitors?

Cookies are small text files, which provide us with information about how often someone visits our site, and what they do during those visits. Cookies do not themselves collect any personal data but if you provide such information to any of our websites, for example by registering with us, it may be linked to the data stored in the cookie. No personal data is disclosed during this process.  You can set your computers browser not to accept cookies.

Log files
Log files allow us to record visitor's use of the website. We analyse log file information from all our visitors and use it to make changes the layout of the site, and to information contained in it, based on the way visitors move around the site.   Log files do not contain any personal information.  When you leave this site to visit any other, it is important to read the privacy statement of any site which collects personal information.

C. Financial
This information is collected on a secure server and is only used in the processing of an order or your membership application.

D. E-mail and Postal Addresses
this information is used to deliver CMF services and information requested, notification of upcoming events and items of interest to members of the CMF and/or the SHIFT Initiative, and to interested non-members. Any information obtained may also be used to inform members and non-members of other products or services which we consider might be of interest.
