The Data Protection Act 1998

We use leading technologies and encryption software to safeguard our data and strict security standards to prevent any unauthorised access to it. We do not pass on any details to any third party unless you have given us formal permission to do so.

What information do we collect from visitors?
We collect four kinds of information from visitors to our site:

b. Cookies
The Cast Metals Federation complies with current legislation and when you visit our site for the first time a box will appear on your browser asking if you would like to accept a cookie being placed on your computers browser.

Cookies are small text files, which provide us with information about how often someone visits our site, and what they do during those visits. Cookies do not themselves collect any personal data but if you provide such information to any of our websites, for example by registering with us, it may be linked to the data stored in the cookie. No personal data is disclosed during this process.

Log files
Log files allow us to record visitor's use of the website. We analyse log file information from all our visitors and use it to make changes the layout of the site, and to information contained in it, based on the way visitors move around the site.

This information is collected on a secure server and is only used in the processing of an order or your membership application.

this information is used to deliver Cast Metal Federation services and information requested, notification of upcoming events and items of interest to members of the Cast Metals Federation and/or the SHIFT Initiative, and to interested non-members. Any information obtained may also be used to inform members and non-members of other products or services which we consider might be of interest.
